Position Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Applications Lead to manage and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of critical software applications across our organization. In this role, you will lead a team in analyzing complex system requirements, designing and developing software tools, and ensuring the efficient reuse and domain analysis of software subsystems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software configuration, team leadership, and a deep understanding of application management processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development, configuration, and maintenance of software applications to meet organizational and project-specific needs.
Analyze complex system requirements and design solutions to ensure optimal functionality and scalability.
Design and develop software tools and subsystems to support software reuse, domain analyses, and effective implementation across various platforms.
Oversee the management and integration of key applications, including Microsoft Office 365, Splunk, SQL, MYSQL, and Oracle.
Provide leadership in supervising the software configuration management process, ensuring it meets technical and operational standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of software applications.
Mentor and guide a team of software professionals, providing technical direction and ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or a related field OR Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising software configuration management processes and leading application development teams.
Proven experience analyzing complex system requirements and leading the design and development of software applications and tools.
Extensive experience in software configuration management and the implementation of software subsystems.
Strong working knowledge of applications, including Microsoft Office 365, Splunk, SQL, MYSQL, and Oracle.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and guiding software projects to successful completion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based application management and implementation.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and functions.
Proven ability to utilize Microsoft 365 Copilot to enhance productivity across key functions, including drafting technical documentation, generating detailed reports, summarizing project meeting notes, and creating professional presentations.
Skilled in guiding and mentoring team members on leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot tools to boost collaboration, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is $150,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
