AOPC’s Office of Children and Families in the Courts seeks to ensure that every child grows up in a safe, nurturing, and permanent family. The department is seeking an Analyst who will support the leadership of dependency court improvement and oversee specific county, regional, and statewide dependency court improvement initiatives. The position will serve as a point of contact for assigned Family Engagement Initiative counties, Leadership Roundtables, and local Children's Roundtables. Additionally, the role will assist in various court improvement program activities, presentations, and the development of tools for counties and statewide dependency court improvement.Primary Duties

Facilitates collaborative partnerships between Judges, court managers, Office of Children, Youth & Family Services staff, local Children & Youth staff, County Boards of Commissioners, and other partner agency staff.Provides technical support and oversight to Children’s Roundtables, working with local teams to ensure safe permanency and positive well-being for children.Manages assigned Leadership Roundtables by facilitating meetings, developing agendas/minutes, and providing technical assistance and support to Roundtable co-chairs.Develops collaborations between courts and child welfare agencies to identify and address gaps and barriers affecting permanency cases, and to strengthen communication and integration between the systems.Collaborates with AOPC Research and Information Technology to provide user-friendly data to local Children’s Roundtables.Assists local Children’s Roundtables in utilizing data to analyze current outcomes, develop and implement strategies, and monitor progress.Directly oversees and provides technical assistance to assigned Family Engagement Initiative counties, including multidisciplinary training and outcome evaluation.Provides expertise regarding compliance with the Adoption and Safe Families Act, Title IV-E, the Child and Family Services Review, state permanency laws, and other statutory and regulatory mandates affecting court cases.Supports implementation of statewide Dependency Court Improvement Program initiatives, including annual dependency conferences and other training/educational projects.Promotes community awareness of child abuse and neglect, the needs of foster children, and the need for foster/adoptive families.As needed, works on statewide teams to discuss policies, and strategize child welfare/court system improvements.Presents CIP information to various community and professional groups and forums.Develops tools & resources for dependency courts to support Court Improvement Programs.Provides direct support to the CIP Statewide Roundtable, as needed.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Public Administration PLUSThree years of professional experience involving program analysis.An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.Additional Requirements/Preferences

Child welfare supervisory or management experience preferred.Experience representing parents, children or a county child welfare agency preferred.Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Child Development preferred.Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.Occasional overnight statewide travel required.Valid driver’s license required.Satisfactory criminal background check required.Additional Information
