Job Summary
The EDI/Integrations Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of carrier systems with our employee benefits platform. This position will be responsible for setting up and managing carrier integrations and EDI files and resolving discrepancies. Additionally, the Specialist will provide backup support for building clients within Employee Navigator and answering basic client management inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Carrier Integrations:
Establish and maintain connections between our employee benefits platform and various carrier systems.
Configure and test EDI file formats to ensure accurate data exchange.
Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
EDI File Management:
Create, process, and analyze EDI files to facilitate data transfer between our system and carriers.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in EDI data.
Implement quality control measures to prevent errors and ensure data accuracy.
Client Support:
Provide backup support for building client profiles within Employee Navigator.
Answer basic client management questions related to benefits administration.
Collaborate with Account Management and clients to address their needs and concerns.
Qualifications
Proven experience in EDI file processing and integration.
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, COBRA).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with employee benefits software (e.g., Employee Navigator, Ease, PlanSource) is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and to listen for instructions and information. The employee is also required to sit for long periods of time, often in front of a computer monitor, and operate a computer keyboard. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
