Data AnalystJob Duties:Design and develop structured and unstructured databases and/or data loading processes to optimize information use.Document data model, database, ETL, data mapping, and data integration including documentation of business processes and data storage.Write testable ETL processes and/or code, using industry best practices and Continuous Integration-Continuous Delivery (CICD) / DevOps processes.Implement data quality and departmental standards in line with organizational expectations.Prepare and submit reports on data validation and loading to communicate data load progress to stakeholders and management.Support and recommend improvements to databases and/or ETL operational processes including automation, monitoring, and job scheduling.Perform database, SQL, and/or ETL performance tuning.Design, build, test and deploy Develop/Customize Cogito solutions (i.e., SlicerDicer filters and sessions, Epic metrics, Reporting Workbench with SQL, Radar components, Batch extracts, etc.) as assigned—essential for operations.Provide user support/coaching/training related to Cogito usage.Define and deploy standards and common processes for developers and users of Cogito tools.Monitor for compliance and resolve noncompliant solutions with appropriate stakeholders.Coordinate with Epic application teams on configurations, user security, customizations, etc. to ensure effective implementation and adoption of Cogito solutions by users—essential for operations.Collaborate with Clarity/Caboodle administrators to load, validate and customize the Caboodle data models/tables and coordinate Epic upgrades.Conduct peer review and quality control sessions for new Cogito build.Monitor production usage, uptime, and performance.Troubleshoot and initiate corrective action as needed to sustain target performance levels of Epic Cogito solutions.Utilize Data Courier to promote Cogito components across Epic environments consistent with SHC release management processes.Review Epic/vendor release notes and plan/conduct upgrades accordingly in conjunction with overall Epic upgrade schedule and processes.Coordinate with Infrastructure team on maintenance of hardware, upgrades, database administration/tuning, etc. of the Cogito Environment.Minimum Education:Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.Minimum Experience:Two (2) years of data analysis, database development, or related experience, including (1) year of experience:Utilizing programming/querying languages such as SQL.Developing reports by using reporting tools.Utilizing data visualization tools.Automating processes and reports.Developing and implementing analytical applications to transform raw data into meaningful insights.Analyzing, manipulating, and processing large sets of data using software applications.Recommending data-driven solutions.Compensation:A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $81,452.80 – $139,360.00 per year for the role of Data Analyst.Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has a diverse, global patient population and workforce, built on the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.St. Jude is an Equal Opportunity Employer.No Search Firms.
