AWS Security Engineer
for a direct-hire position with our client in St. Louis.This is a hybrid opportunity to join a nationally respected organization that is the leader in their field.Summary
The AWS Security Engineer will be responsible for securing AWS cloud infrastructure and ensuring compliance with industry standards, financial regulations, and operational best-practices.Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement security solutions for enterprise AWS environments.Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to identify security gaps.Monitor and respond to security incidents, coordinating with incident response teams.Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.Ensure compliance with various industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.Perform security audits and assessments of AWS services and configurations.Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends in cloud computing.Provide training and guidance to internal teams on AWS security best practices.Qualifications:
5+ Years of proven experience in AWS security, with relevant certifications desired (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, NIST, CISSP, etc).Strong knowledge of AWS services and security features (e.g., IAM, VPC, Security Groups).Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP).Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, etc) for automation and security tasks.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Extremely strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.Additional Details:
