They promote testing best practices through effective team communication and application in code through all stages of the software design lifecycle. Working closely with remotely-located peers, the Senior QA Developer establishes and leads the overall test strategy and its subsequent execution for their assigned Scrum team(s).

Position Responsibilities:Define test automation strategies for applications under testPlan, direct, and maintain technical aspects of complex test automation initiativesParticipate in Agile ceremonies within a Scrum teamCommunicate with external stakeholders, project managers and subject matter experts as necessaryStudy industry specifications for clarification and educationApply situational leadership by making effective and efficient testing decisions on behalf of the projectPartner with peers in the selection, configuration and implementation of test automation frameworks, tools, and architectureAssist in submission, prioritization, and resolution of defectsPerform exploratory front-end and back-end testing and aid in the construction of tooling to assist in that endeavorPerform code reviews on unit tests and developer-contributed codeAssist in establishing department-wide metrics, processes, and reporting to be shared with leadershipAssure the delivery of high-quality softwareWork independently on projects where tasks are self-determined and not directly assignedResponsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncomplianceRequired Qualifications:7+ years of testing experience at all levels of the testing hierarchy (unit, integration, system, Regression, environmental)Minimum of 2 years of experience with a strong background in pharmacy, health plan, or PBA/PBM experience area that aligns with the company’s core product offeringsEstablished history of building and expanding test frameworks (including integrating into CI/CD pipelines)4+ years of middleware/endpoint testingSolid improvisational skills, a high frustration threshold, and a willingness to learn anything required to get the job doneMust be proficient with Linux/Unix shellMust have demonstrable knowledge of SQLExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) at both an individual and team levelPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in pharmacy benefit management or health insurance is preferredHands-On with the Python programming languageExperience with mobile testing (Appium)AWS Cloud experience (DevOps with a taste for environment verification)Experience working with RDBMSs (Postgres a plus)Nothing in this position description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.About Capital RxCapital Rx is a full-service pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) and pharmacy benefit administrator (PBA), advancing our nation’s electronic healthcare infrastructure to improve drug price visibility and patient outcomes.
