Our Data, Analytics & Intelligence function is focused on driving innovation through optimizing how we leverage digital, data, and AI to drive strategy and differentiate ourselves from the competition.As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward greater focus on the use of data and strengthen our digital, AI capabilities, we are seeking a Global Lead, Data Management. In this role, you will contribute to the maturing of Data Management across AXA XL via policies, guiding principles, framework, mastering data, and operating model to effectively manage data as an Enterprise asset, in accordance with AXA XL Data Strategy and in partnership with business stakeholders.What will your essential responsibilities include?Evolve and run a world-class Data Management platform for AXA XL that ensures that the organization can generate significant non-linear growth and value from its data assets.Drive Data Management across the organization through partnership with the business and ownership by business data owners and stewards of our AXA XL’s data assets.Ensure appropriate documentation of data definitions, lineage, and metadata and provide access to all of AXA XL as appropriate.Drive the realization of business benefits of the One Version of Truth through business adoption of strategic data to make more effective decisions, reduce expense, increase speed of data delivery, and decrease the risk of regulatory sanctions.Build the technology and capability to master and maintain our data based on documented rules and direction of the business for Party, Location, and Reference data in accordance with a strategic MDM framework.Deliver on the Master Data Management framework through strategic and prioritized business projects.Grow confidence across AXA XL in our data through improved Client Hierarchies driving better partnerships with our brokers and insureds.Drive improved profitability by mastering location data and reduce risk for AXA XL based on better exposure information being made available to the organization.Develop data talent across AXA XL, while embracing inclusion and diversity, to enable usage and value creation through our strategic digital, data and analytics assets.Instill a customer-first attitude on the team, prioritizing service for our business stakeholders above all else.In this role, you will report to the Chief Innovation, Data & Analytics Officer.We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:Strategic leader with keen business acumen and commercial awareness.Ability to communicate well with leadership team, peers, teams across the globe, manage stakeholders effectively and navigate a matrixed global organization.Brings in a collaborative spirit, can-do attitude and a Customer First mindset.Requires a combination of solid execution, strategic thinking and ability to ‘connect the dots’.Manages multiple teams of data resources, typically with strategic, tactical, and limited transactional focus.Responsible for developing, communicating, managing, and implementing corporate and divisional strategic plans and budgets and for the development of policies and procedures to achieve results.Responsible for the organizational design and smooth running of the function.Expected to recommend innovation and improvement to policies, procedures, deploying resources and performing core activities.A minimum of a bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant discipline.Extensive experience in a data role (analytics, specialist or engineer) supporting multiple specialty areas of Data and Analytics.Substantial leadership experience, leading programs or colleagues.Applies in-depth knowledge of business and specialized areas to creatively and strategically solve business problems and understand integration challenges and long-term impact.Excellent presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship building skills, across all levels of management and customer interaction.Passion for digital, data and AI and experience working within a digital and data driven organization.FIND your futureAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
