Who we are looking for.We are looking for self-motivated hands-on Cloud AI/ML Developer for State Street's AML Transformation program. The candidate will closely work with technical and business teams based in Boston in an agile fashion to develop technical solutions for AML Transaction Monitoring and other compliance programs.
What you will be responsible forBe responsible for application development using Python, Scala, and similar programming languages.Develop AI and ML-based solutions to solve complex business problems.Assume ownership from development to production rollout.Work in a multi-location agile environment in alignment with business and technology teams.Follow application development, data engineering, performance, and security standards.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesResearch and development of AI/ML and GenAI technologies in the context of AML Compliance solutions.Development assistance for AML cloud transformation using Scala/Python and similar programming languages.Document the best practices and strategies associated with application deployment and infrastructure support.Produce reusable, efficient, and scalable programs, as well as cost-effective migration strategies.Develop data engineering and ML pipelines in Databricks, implement ML models, and ensure model governance.Be comfortable working on tight timelines when required.
Skill Sets RequiredGood decision-making and problem-solving skills.Understanding of AI/ML and LLM techniques.Solid understanding of AWS cloud/Databricks fundamentals/architecture.Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and AWS architecture best practices.Hands-on experience in different domains, like database architecture, business intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics, big data, etc.Application migration of RDBMS, Java/Python applications, model code, Elastic, etc.Solid programming background in Scala and Python.Experience with AML or similar financial compliance applications is a plus.
Additional requirementsThis role may require occasional L4 production support and weekend release support. Moderate database/SQL knowledge is expected.
