Job DescriptionAs a Paraprofessional with The Menta Group, you will be responsible for working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.Location:

7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mon-Fri, following a school calendarEmployment Type:
Direct Hire with benefits and paid time offResponsibilities:Manage classroom behaviorsReport behavioral concerns of students to appropriate staffImplement and maintain behavioral program policies and dataMaintain classroom order and safetyProvide general supervision of students inside the school settingAssist in the prevention and management of incidents of non-compliance and/or escalation in behaviorMaintain alertness for problems likely to disrupt the educational process or to be a safety concern and correct and report these conditionsRespond to emergency situationsProvide interventions to students to assist in managing behaviorsThink quickly, independently, and tactfullyQualifications:Security or Juvenile Justice background is helpfulMilitary Veterans are encouraged to applyAbility to operate tactfully under stressFlexibility to change in routinesAt least 23 years of ageAble to work with high-risk special needs studentsGood driving record and willingness to drive student van is strongly preferredBenefits:Benefit options include: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Supplemental Insurance ProgramsMedical Insurance enrollment is available to full-time employees on their date of hire.
