In addition to assisting with design and implementation tasks, the assistant will play a key role in preparing project scopes, managing vendor relationships, and gathering relevant data for project execution. This role offers an ideal opportunity for an engineering student to gain hands-on experience in continuous improvement, facility design, and vendor collaboration, providing valuable skills for their future career.From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:Assists in creating documentation as justification for capital expenditures.Researches efficient production methods and flow, optimum utilization of space and equipment to present to the team.Works with Plant Director, maintenance, quality assurance, safety, and other departments to ensure projects undertaken are consistent with plant needs and requirements.Participates actively as a member of the plant management team; provides necessary support for other plant functions/activities as determined by manager.Demonstrates professionalism in all aspects of plant’s rules and regulations and encourages quality personnel performance.Develops and maintains positive relationships with purchasing, suppliers, and vendors regarding equipment and supplies.Performs design work including researching data, feasibility and economic studies, and determining design criteria in accordance with required standards for assigned projects.Maintains accurate and up-to-date project files and drawings, identifying and correcting safety, ergonomic, and operational problems through proper design of equipment.Reads, analyzes, and interprets a variety of instructions, manuals, and procedures in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.Performs administrative duties in an accurate, timely, and professional manner (phone calls, voice mail, paperwork, meetings).Participates in the capital budget, engineering goals, and plant objectives and works toward meeting and/or exceeding these expectations.Ensures proper documentation is provided as justification for expenditures and compliance to quality programs.
