Project Engineer
to work in the
Commercial Division
in the
Jacksonville, FL area. The successful candidate will be responsible for thecompletion of specific project tasks as assigned by the Project Manager. In thisposition, the candidate willinterface with the estimating division (Project Engineers will gain/enhance experience in estimating), Project Assistant (administrative functions are required to complete many assigned tasks) and the Project Superintendent as well as the Project Manager.Responsibilities:Primarily performs duties in planning for commercial projects.Maintain and update schedules.Identify need for and write RFI’s.Prepare, review and process shop drawings.Maintain as-built drawings.Collect and assemble O&M materials.Purchase Order and Subcontract Scope analysis and drafting.Material purchasing and expediting.Value engineering design and proposals.Coordinating with Subcontractors and Vendors.Contract document distribution to job site, vendors and subcontractors.Visits project sites to monitor progress conformance to plans and standards.Coordinate facility startup activities.Provide the Project Manager with support and accurate information to maximize project management effectiveness.Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.Ability to learn P6 scheduling software.Ability to reach and understand construction documents and plans.Familiarity with construction platform software.Bluebeam software experience.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.1-2 years of experience as Project Engineer preferred.
