As part of the team responsible for building and implementing best-of-breed retail solutions for transportation, supply chain, and last-mile delivery, you will play a key role in understanding business requirements, designing, developing, and implementing solutions that enable great customer experience and drive business objectives.

About Team:Focusing on customer, associate, and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico, and South Africa, to name a few.

What you'll do:

Key responsibilities include:

In partnership with a Product Manager, understand the business use cases, define success criteria, analyze the requirements, conduct a technical discovery, and help align on the proposed solution.

Design, develop, test, and deploy the solutions using Walmart's processes and best practices.

Ensure security is built into the solution.

Troubleshoot production issues, assist/lead triage sessions, analyze the impact, manage stakeholder communication, and fix defects with a sense of urgency.

Take a holistic approach to building the solutions which include but are not limited to alerting & monitoring, documentation, DR plans, playbooks, certificate management, and telemetry.

What you'll bring:

Working experience with Agile methodology.

A minimum of 3 years experience in Java technologies, especially backend development.

Hands-on experience with Kafka and other messaging services.

Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies, preferably Azure.

Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Customer Service experience.

Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.

Knowledge of accessibility best practices.

Masters in Computer Science.
