Medical Progressive Care Unit

is a 21-bed high acuity step-down unit, caring for critically ill adult medical patients. The patient population includes those with complex organ diseases, requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, and continuous monitoring. Common medical diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, GI bleeding, liver failure, and DKA. This is a highly skilled floor, from which new staff will gain instrumental experience. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 2:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity. https://jhh.mybenefitsjhhs.com/Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredActive Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.Important Notices:***Authorization to Work in the United States:
