Job Summary:
As a Sr. Data Analyst, you will work closely with different departments to develop KPIs and create self-sustaining dashboards. Your high-level analysis of data will contribute to informed decision-making and help drive our nonprofit's mission forward. You will design data modeling and analysis services to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge and information that enhance business processes while building and maintaining data support tools. By leveraging your expertise in data analysis, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of our nonprofit organization.

Essential FunctionsStakeholder Engagement and Management
Act as the primary liaison between the data analytics team and senior management.
Present complex analysis and strategic insights in an accessible manner to stakeholders at all levels.
Advanced Analytical Modeling
Develop and implement sophisticated statistical and financial models to predict trends and outcomes that significantly impact the organization's strategic direction.
Lead Data Strategy Initiatives
Spearhead the development and execution of data-driven strategies that support organizational goals. This includes leading projects that leverage data analytics to solve complex business problems.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Conduct full lifecycle analysis, including data gathering, requirements specification, processing, and analysis.
Develop analysis and reporting capabilities to track organizational performance.
Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Dashboard Development
Create user-friendly dashboards that provide real-time insights.
Design visualizations to communicate complex data effectively.
Ensure dashboards are self-sustaining and require minimal maintenance.
End User Support
Work closely with end users from various departments to understand their data needs.
Provide training and support on using dashboards and interpreting data.
Data Quality Control
Implement quality control plans to maintain accurate and reliable data.
Identify data anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
Lead the implementation of strategic data governance initiatives.
Minimum QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's degree or technical certificate in Computer Science/Data Analysis/Data Science.
Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 7+ years in data analysis or business intelligence.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Experience in DOMO is a plus.
Experience developing actionable dashboards.
Knowledge/Skills
Strong project management skills with experience overseeing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Statistics, including modeling and forecasting.
Knowledge of database structures and systems.
Strong data storytelling abilities.
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Access to skills or proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) and other needed data preparation.
Working knowledge of ETL/ELT and data warehouse processes.
Experience interfacing with executives and cross-functional teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
DOMO or other business analytics system experience is preferred.
