Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Systems Software Analyst – Software Analyst (RA) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations and manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.

In this role, you will be an Analyst on the C2BMC Analysis team, working with a small team of developers and testers to validate performance and functionality. You will analyze test outputs to identify and report any anomalies and work with the RA teams to correct identified problems.

Essential Functions:

Work within the missile defense domain, including engagement management and algorithm development.

Apply system engineering principles to develop product solutions.

Prior experience in C2BMC or other complex command and control systems as a SW engineer or systems analyst.

Document findings and present them to stakeholders.

Identify bugs and coordinate resolution.

Work with Atlassian tools.

Provide data analysis of software tests for performance verification.

Analyze output from complex algorithms.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Current DoD issued Secret Security Clearance at the time of application.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Experience with Data Analysis, Performance Assessment, Algorithms, and XML.

Understanding of systems and software engineering processes.

Direct experience in one or more of the following:

Working knowledge of

Unix/Linux

Read and understand

Java

programs

Debug and identify solutions for software issues.

Experience in

GitLab

or equivalent.

Experience in

Gradle

or similar tools.

Demonstrated proficiency using

MATLAB, Python , and/or

Java

to analyze data.

Ability to develop scripts and programs for analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science

Pay Range:

Colorado - $97,500 - $146,300 / Alabama - $102,400 - $153,600
