Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal SW Development Analyst – SW Analysis Tools Developer (RA) (24-408) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART), the applicant will work with other analysts to develop analysis tools and scripts needed to automatically process test data to enhance the efficiency of the analysis.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing software applications and toolsets for processing and analyzing test data results.
Knowledge and experience with Systems Engineering and Software Development lifecycles.
Knowledge and experience in presenting analysis results to software engineers and other senior program leaders.
Experience developing and understanding complex algorithms and presenting analysis results to stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
An active Secret clearance is required to start.
5 years' experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; 3 years' experience with a master’s degree; or 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated proficiency using MATLAB, Python, and Java for data analysis.
Ability to develop scripts and programs to assist with analysis in Java.
Experience in Agile Environments is desired.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher is highly desired.
A Master's degree in STEM discipline is highly desired.
