Updated: July 26, 2024 - The Application Specialist is responsible for conducting research and experiments, analyzing results, and presenting findings to stakeholders, collaborating with marketing and sales to ensure alignment with customer needs. They address product issues, contribute to development efforts, and provide customer training, demonstrating expertise in domain. Continuously identifying areas for process improvement, the Application Specialist drives innovation and enhances documentation to optimize organizational efficiency.Job Responsibilities:
Test software programs to compare to specifications and documentation for incorporation into standards.Identify and document program variances from standards and suggest modifications to conform.Perform acceptance testing of new and/or modified software applications, configurations, or infrastructure changes by developing test data and calculating expected results.Execute programs and procedures, review output and evaluate and document results.Maintain records related to test scenarios, support issues, and other data collection tasks.Coordinate testing by users and third parties.Conduct compatibility tests with other software programs, hardware, multiple operating systems, and network environments.Assist in special projects assigned including new applications, change in application software or hardware, to achieve desired results.Attend workshops and seminars to remain current on Technology and applications.Plan, design and implement interdepartmental information systems.Set standards and develop guidelines to ensure compliance for program documentation.Analyze and evaluate vendor-supplied software and hardware products.Recommend new or replacement products.Skills Required:
