This position is responsible for the development of specific designs using current technology to meet customer requirements most economically design within the scope of products manufactured by the Coolers team, it will also follow the process of new sales orders from design, rating and pricing to manufacturing and shipping. This position reports to our Engineering Supervisor and supports our Coolers, Powers & Process vertical. This is an onsite position at our Grenada South, MS location.Key Responsibilities
Design heat exchangers and cooling system modules for assigned customers.Coordinate the build and ensure the accuracy of units.Ensure understanding by plant production and manufacturing personnel of design specificationsWork closely with other departments and the plant to ensure new models are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements.Monitor feedback from the field and initiate product improvement when appropriate.Support other engineers and designers with product development projects related to design and documentation as needed.Provide technical assistance to the customers engineering personnelRequired Education & Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) is required for this role1-3+ years of work experience in electrical engineering is preferredNice to haves:
Experience with heat transfer, thermodynamics, or thermal management and its applicationsPrior experience working with customers in an engineering capacityExperience working with customers in an engineering capacityExperience with HVAC or unitary designSheet metal design
