to join an exciting team with the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).This opportunity is ideal for an experienced, self-starting, detail-oriented, and technically proficient individual to provide direct advisory support to the Multi-Domain Joint Operations (MDJO) Directorate of Mission Capabilities. provides management support for broad program portfolios, proposals, analysis, and funding recommendations. Responsibilities include conducting small group reviews, cross-pollination meetings to coordinate and collaborate across the Department of Defense, as well as with other Government agencies, academia, and industry for situational awareness and information-sharing. will prepare budget and programmatic justification during the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) cycle. The candidate must have experience or understanding of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System, Portfolio Management Review processes, transition pathways from research and development to sustainment, and the Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER). The Senior Technical Analyst demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills and is comfortable engaging with various stakeholders within OSD, Services, Combatant Commands, Government Agencies, and the Joint Staff at varying levels of leadership/seniority.The anticipated work location is in
National Capital Region , on site. Travel: less than 10%.Required Experience:Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, scientific, or other relevant technical or analytical discipline10+ years of DoD experience5+ years of experience in the PPBE and legislative processesExpert knowledge in
any
of the following: Space / Cyber, Defense / Platforms, Offense / Weapons, Resilient Communications, Battlefield Management C3, or LogisticsStrong understanding of acquisition pathwaysExperience organizing and developing programs to support organizational strategic direction; creating and managing long-term goals; assisting with organizational plans and programs; establishing working relationships with program managers or executive leaders; tracking task order efforts to rapidly identify and resolve potential and new problemsExperience in prototyping solutions, R&E modernization, and joint warfighting conceptsTS/SCI ClearanceDesired Experience:Experience operating within a Pentagon/OSD/Service Staff/Joint StaffVES provides our government and commercial clients with a range of professional and innovation services including: technology innovation acceleration, business consulting services, professional engineering and program oversight, and program and budget support.
