What You Will Do:As a Commissioning Completions Technician at Udelhoven, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of Alaska’s largest oil and gas project in 25 years. Your responsibilities extend beyond reviewing engineering drawings. You will actively contribute to building and maintaining a database used to track project progress and completion. This database is populated based on drawings and datasets from engineering and is verified against project drawings. The continual synchronization of drawing revisions with the project database is a large part of your role. Additionally, you may be expected to communicate with construction and commissioning stakeholders to promote focused completion of project goals.
Duties:
Data Entry and Digital Forms Management:
Enter equipment details, specifications, and relevant data into the project completions software.
Collaborate with field personnel to ensure accurate and complete information.
Facilitate the digital signing of forms for each piece of equipment within the project.
Review Engineering Drawings:
Thoroughly examine engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation related to project completion.
Verify that all drawings revisions, redlines and RFI/TQ changes are captured in the Completions Management System.
Assist with project redline management as needed:
Collaborate with project engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to incorporate redlines (revisions) into existing drawings and make sure database is in sync with redlines and incomplete worklists.
Ensure that redlines are properly tracked, documented, and implemented.
Commissioning Process:
Work closely with the commissioning team during the final stages of project execution.
Ensure that all equipment, systems, and components are fully captured and updated in the system and meet project requirements.
Audit database systems based on drawing updates and realities in the field.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Verify that all forms are correctly signed and comply with industry standards.
Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to equipment documentation.
Fast-Paced Environment:
Adapt to the dynamic pace of project completion activities.
Prioritize tasks efficiently to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Document Control:
Assist with attaching drawings and documents to relevant project systems within the Completions Management System. Examples include equipment records, test reports, and compliance forms.
Ensure proper version control and traceability.
Qualifications:
Education:
A degree or diploma in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in oil and gas projects, construction, or engineering is advantageous.
Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
High level computer skills and technical ability is mandatory.
Software development experience is a plus.
Office suite and administrative software should be second nature.
Construction experience and familiarity with reading blueprints and drawings is needed.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Familiarity with project completions software and digital documentation tools is a plus.
As a condition of employment, you are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable references and background check. Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
