Salary Range:
$50 - $55 Hourly

What You Will Do:
As an instrument technician, you will need to be very technically proficient and have the ability to determine maintenance and test tasks that need to be completed. The instrument technician will work closely with mechanics and electricians to perform preventative maintenance, calibration, control systems, troubleshooting, pneumatics, and wiring on equipment systems found in an industrial or commercial environment.
What You Will Need (minimum qualifications):
NSTC (Preferred)
Driver’s License (Required)
North Slope Experience (Required)
Knowledge of calibration procedures, calibration equipment, and test equipment.
Knowledge of field instruments, control room instruments, computers, and start-up.
Prior experience with industrial instruments in a facility or factory.
Ability to work at heights.
HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
3+ years of electrical or instrumentation/controls experience in an industrial setting is required.
Skills:
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and competing demands simultaneously.
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
Experience with PLC based control systems, Instrumentation and Variable Frequency Drives is required.
Maintain compliance with required HSE Training.
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Additional Information:
Food and housing expenses are covered while working on the North Slope.
Flights to and from Anchorage, AK are provided by the company.

the
lower 48 are the
responsibility of the employee
. This is non-negotiable.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
As a condition of employment, you are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable references and background check. Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
