Are you a passionate mobile full stack developer with Android/iOS and React Native expertise? Looking for a fun and fast-paced team where your work is featured in the Amazon mobile app? Then this is your opportunity to build the next generation of Amazon mobile-first Shopping Experiences. Your work will be seen by billions of shoppers and will be featured throughout the Amazon mobile app. Amazon Native Player (ANP) is the foundational component that experiences like Inspire (Amazon's mobile-only discovery, browse, and social shopping experience) are built on. You will play a critical role in the evolving ANP's architecture, implementing new React Native features for Amazon customers, and working with both experience and foundational component teams.
Key job responsibilitiesAs a SDE-II in the ANP team, you will build new features that modernize and make the media experience more engaging.You will expand the types of content rendered (e.g. Live streams, AR/VR, etc.).You will optimize for rendering quality and performance.You will establish design patterns that empower engineers across teams to safely innovate.You get to think strategically and envision the future of media within inspirational and social shopping.
About the teamWe are a small, agile, and tight-knit team where product and tech work in close harmony on our mission of providing Amazon Shoppers a modern and cohesive multimedia experience within the Amazon mobile shopping application. Our customers internally are builders and externally are shoppers. Specifically, we are the media player and framework that powers experiences within the Amazon Shopping application like Inspire, full-screen Product Videos on Detail page, full-screen Review Images and Videos, and more. ANP is one of the Top-10 Core Shopping Frameworks within Amazon for experiences across the shopping journey.

Minimum Requirements3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
