We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer responsible for planning, coordinating, configuring, installing, and managing all LAN/WAN systems, servers, and client services across the enterprise. The role is essential to meet business needs and ensure optimal performance and security for the company's network infrastructure. security products.Key Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure, including related servers and client services, to support business requirements.Oversee and troubleshoot technical issues related to LANs/WANs, VPNs, MPLS, and SD-WAN configurations, ensuring a stable network environment.Administer and maintain enterprise network security with Checkpoint and Cisco systems, including firewalls, routers, and switches.Identify, resolve, and proactively prevent hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions related to network systems and related servers.Make critical decisions in the areas of throughput analysis, problem-solving, and infrastructure planning to support business operations.Research, evaluate, and implement tools and processes to identify and address potential infrastructure trends before they impact business performance.Monitor and ensure stable performance for all enterprise systems, including servers, SANs, Citrix, and VMware environments.Manage server backups, monitor system logs, perform regular performance reviews, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Provide Tier 3 helpdesk support for all PC and network-related issues within the enterprise.Participate in various IT projects aimed at continually enhancing the network and infrastructure capabilities of the company.Rotate on an on-call basis with other infrastructure personnel to support the organization's IT needs.Maintain effective communication with IT management regarding ongoing tasks, projects, and critical issues.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience in network infrastructure management and support.Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies, including VPN, MPLS, and SD-WAN configuration and management.Expertise in Cisco and Checkpoint products (firewalls, switches, routers).Familiarity with Wintel Servers, SAN, Citrix, and VMware environments.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze network performance and implement solutions.Knowledge of security best practices and experience in maintaining secure network environments.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and in a team, with a willingness to rotate on an on-call schedule.Preferred Skills:Experience with government proposals or working in Data Center/Electrical infrastructure.Certifications in Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) and Checkpoint are a plus.Project management experience, especially using tools such as Microsoft Project.Flexibility to travel up to 25% of the year as needed.Vaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
