As a Data Engineer, you will focus on commercially-facing analytics development projects, typically involving large, complex data sets. This typically includes statisticians, computer scientists, software developers, engineers, product managers, and end users, working in concert with partners in Baker Hughes business units.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Implementing Data warehouse & Big/Small data designs with automated MDM and data quality capabilities.

Demonstrating proficiency at industry standard data modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, ER Studio, etc.).

Integrating domain data knowledge into development of data requirements.

Looking across multiple systems, understands the purpose of each system and defines data requirements by systems.

Leading the development and deployment of analytics within well-defined projects to address customer needs and opportunities.

Delivering technical support and maintenance for AL/ML models deployed for Baker Hughes' Leucipa AI product.

Working alongside other data scientists, data engineers and software engineers to translate algorithms into commercially viable products and services.

Collaborating with other engineering disciplines, domain experts, internal and external customers.

Contributing to continuous improvement and quality initiatives as well as innovative approaches and solutions to business problems.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Have a minimum of 6 years of related professional experience.

Proficient with Python Scikit Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch & Keras Framework.

Experienced in timeseries analysis using advanced machine learning/AI techniques.

Have strong numerical skills used in a data science context, including working with numerical data in analytics and/or machine learning contexts.

Have demonstrable skills and experience in algorithm development from design, prototyping and testing to delivery and application to engineering problems.

Have solid AI/ML model development experience in Python working in a production environment across the full software lifecycle.

Experience with MLOps would be an added advantage.

Experience with LLMs (large models) would be an added advantage.

Have exposure to Big Data and Cloud technologies for algorithm development/productionisation as well as for data storage and software engineering.

Have SQL and NoSQL data model awareness.
