Look no further than Zurich Canada.If you have experience in Guidewire development and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Guidewire Developer to build, configure, and maintain applications within the Guidewire suite.Reporting to the Application Platform Delivery Lead, you will implement custom solutions, workflows, business rules, and integration points within the Guidewire suite to tailor the system to specific insurance business requirements.This is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience for the future in a supportive environment where your voice matters. This is a Hybrid role.What you will do:
Design, develop, and implement Guidewire solutions (PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter or BillingCenter) based on requirements.Configure and customize Guidewire applications using Gosu programming language.Integrate Guidewire products with external systems such as third-party services, databases, and legacy systems.Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to gather and analyze business requirements.Provide technical expertise in Guidewire upgrades, enhancements, and new feature implementation.Ensure the quality of deliverables through unit testing and participate in code reviews.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Guidewire applications and integrations.Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions.Prepare technical documentation and user guides as needed.Job Qualifications
What you bring to the table:
Required:Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Database Analysis or Programming, ideally within a Guidewire environment.ORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Database Analysis or Programming area, ideally within a Guidewire environment.ORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Database Analysis or Programming area, ideally within a Guidewire environment.ANDExperience working at multiple phases of database management.Preferred:• Insurance Industry Experience.• Organizational and analytical skills.Our Culture
