GDIT is seeking a full stack developer with knowledge of Oracle database administration to join our team supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM) Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI) Analytical Services Branch (ASB). As the Database Administrator you will perform systems database administration support services for the Contract Laboratory Program Support System (CLPSS). This support will be for all environments including but not limited to Development, Maintenance, Test (2 environments), Staging, and Production, which are hosted in an AWS Cloud Environment. Additionally, you will work with the development team to contribute to system development as needed.How You Will Make An Impact:Recommend and implement database security policiesRecommend and implement database backup, recovery, redundancy strategies and support disaster recovery related operations as neededWrite, review, and update system documentation relating to the databasesReview and monitor database performanceTaking appropriate action to initiate changes, installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining database instancesCollaborate with system administrators, developers, and data analysts to support ongoing system maintenance and development.Support potential database architecture changes for new interface developmentAssist program staff with writing SQL queries for job aids and ad hoc client reportingModify data that program staff does not have write access toDevelop application code and unit test in the Angular, Rest Web Services, Java, or similar technologiesCoding using JavaScript, CSS, and HTMLConduct performance testingAdvise client and other stakeholders regarding design and technical decisions for projectPerform product analysis and development tasks of increasingly complex nature, which may require extensive research and analysisCommunicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to design, plan, and develop large scale projects from the ground upWhat You’ll Need To Succeed:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant discipline from an accredited institution with 4 years relevant experience.
