Job Summary :We are seeking an experienced and highly organized
Security Manager / Facility Security Officer (FSO)
to oversee and manage all aspects of security for our organization, ensuring compliance with government and industry security regulations. The FSO will be responsible for implementing security protocols, managing personnel clearances, and ensuring the protection of classified and sensitive information. This role requires a deep understanding of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and related security frameworks.
TS/SCI required, remote two days per week.
Responsibilities:FSO Duties : Serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) responsible for maintaining compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and ensuring that the organization meets all Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal security requirements.Security Program Management : Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s security program, including physical security, personnel security, information security, and access control.Clearance Processing & Management : Manage personnel security clearances, ensuring timely submission and tracking of background investigations, security clearances, and periodic reinvestigations.Classified Information Protection : Safeguard classified and sensitive information in accordance with federal regulations, including the proper handling, storage, and transmission of classified materials.Security Education & Training : Conduct security awareness training and briefings for employees, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures. Ensure all personnel are trained in security responsibilities related to their roles.Inspections & Audits : Prepare for and coordinate periodic security inspections, audits, and self-inspections by government agencies, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions.Physical Security : Oversee the installation and management of security systems, access control, surveillance, and physical safeguards to protect personnel and facilities.Incident Management : Investigate and report security incidents, violations, or breaches, and coordinate corrective actions and mitigation strategies.Security Policies & Procedures : Develop and maintain security-related policies, procedures, and plans (e.g., Facility Security Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Insider Threat Program).Collaboration with Government Entities : Act as the primary point of contact with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other government agencies regarding security matters.Visitor Management : Manage and control access for visitors, contractors, and employees to ensure compliance with security requirements.Insider Threat Program : Establish and manage an Insider Threat Program in accordance with federal regulations to identify and mitigate potential threats within the organization.
