.)What is this career opportunity?The General Services Division (GSD) is looking for an individual with information systems expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills to join their team.You would report to the Business Systems Manager and work closely with three other IT Analysts in support of GSD’s staff and system needs. GSD is a primarily inward facing division of Department of Administration.GSD supports all other agencies in terms of Facilities, Real Estate, Print and Mail, Surplus Property, and physical security. GSD is a diverse, multi-faceted, fluid, and adaptive Division best suited for jack-of-all-trades types who are business savvy, humble and self-aware, yet willing to take calculated risks and ‘not afraid to get dirty’ in terms of making ideas come to fruition.Responsibilities will include:·
PC and peripheral basic support, inventory management, updates, liaison with State Information Technology Services (SITSD)·
PC/peripheral procurement and Intent to Purchase (ITPR) submissions and tracking·
System architecture/configuration/administration – COTS, Cloud applications, On-Prem applications·
Business planning/analysis/project management leading to system procurement and deployment·
Staff onboard and offboard management relative business systems/technology·
Front line support/training for GSD end users·
GSD-SITSD case management, case coordination for help desk situations transferred to SITSD·
GSD Active Directory management·
Auria Ops server monitoring·
Sentinel one server updates·
Cell phone management and user support·
Office telephone support and coordination with SITSD·
POTS lines management with SITSD and CenturyLink (elevators and fire alarm)What are we looking for?Education and Experience:·
Associate degree in Business or IT with emphasis on information systems is preferred, however, a degree in any field will be considered based on experience.AND·
Three years’ experience software application deployment, configuration, and support. OR·
Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.·
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service·
Ability to conduct system analysis by researching business requirements and translating them into automated solutions·
General knowledge of computing, networking, relational database applications, client-server applications, as well as Cloud services·
Demonstrated experience conducting process analysis and developing solutions·
Ability to thoroughly test application upgrades and new functionality and produce change-management documentation·
Ability to learn the skills required for successful system administration including complex system configuration, technical documentation, working with programmers on system integrations, as well as working with professionals on meeting business requirements·
Ability to engage in business process analysis and improvement·
Ability to gain working knowledge of various print and mail information systems, wholesale/retail systems, facilities maintenance/construction related applications and systems.·
Ability to excel in a fluid multi-faceted business environment thus adapt to changes in technology, varied project scopes, technology tools, schedules, and business models·
Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders·
Ability to contribute and take ownership in a project-driven environment·
Ability to coordinate vendor’s deployment teams, internal stakeholders, and end-users·
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines·
Ability to systematically troubleshoot hardware and software·
Power-user proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams·
Proficiency with other software such as MS SQL, Adobe Creative Cloud, job cost accounting, project management/scheduling, et. al. a plu
