This is a 1.0 Full Time position with the Tri-County 911 Service Coordination Program (TC911). TC911 focuses on residents who frequently use emergency medical services (EMS) when other non-emergency resources would better meet their needs. The EMS Clinical Services Specialist is part of a small team of licensed clinicians who outreach to, and engage with, clients and existing providers to assess needs, link to appropriate services, and coordinate care across varied systems.

As the

EMS Clinical Services Specialist (LCSW OR LPC) , you will:

Work with individuals who frequently interact with emergency medical services (EMS) and emergency departments (EDs).

Conduct phone, in-person, and field-based services in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington Counties.

Outreach in community settings, such as local EDs, jails, homeless shelters, medical clinics, and private homes to facilitate engagement and improve care coordination.

Assess and address individual and system needs, including conducting biopsychosocial assessments and providing crisis intervention.

Manage complex issues impacting the inappropriate use of 911 and emergency medical services.

Collaborate with regional agencies and community partners to connect individuals to non-emergency systems of care.

Apply culturally relevant clinical approaches to improve quality of life and care.

Work both autonomously and within a team framework.

Present information to stakeholders.

Utilize good clinical and professional judgment in client engagement and collaboration.

Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of the 911 service coordination program.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills:

A master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other related field.

Licensed in Clinical Social Work, Professional Counseling, and/or has met all Oregon State licensing requirements.

At least three years of professional clinical experience.

A valid Driver's License.

Ability to pass a criminal background and reference check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience documenting in a health or medical record system.

Experience working with marginalized or vulnerable communities.

Certified Alcohol or Drug Counselor (CADC) or experience working with people impacted by substance use.

Experience working with severe and persistent mental illness.

Experience applying a racial justice lens to day-to-day work.

Ability to conversationally speak a language other than English.

Pay Equity:

The pay range listed is intended to provide general guidance on earning potential. Actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the Oregon Equal Pay Law.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

This hourly position is eligible for overtime and is represented. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm (flexible).
