Responsibilities:As a Sr Staff Scientist, Bioinformatics, you will be a cornerstone of our research efforts, passionately dedicated to delivering high-impact results. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving our mission forward.
**Coordinate Complex Bioinformatics Projects**Successfully coordinate and lead all aspects of advanced bioinformatics research projects, ensuring flawless execution from conception through completion.
**Collaborative Research**Work closely with cross-functional teams to determine research priorities and integrate bioinformatics insights into broader scientific endeavors.
**Data Analysis and Interpretation**Apply world-class bioinformatics tools to analyze complex biological data, generating actionable insights that drive scientific understanding.
**Method Development**Innovate and develop new bioinformatics methods and algorithms to address challenging biological questions.
**Mentorship and Guidance**Offer proven mentorship and guidance to junior scientists, encouraging an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive.
**Publication and Communication**Publish research findings in high-impact scientific journals and present at international conferences to share our advancements with the global scientific community.
**Grant Writing and Funding**Compete for and secure funding through grant writing and collaboration with external scientific partners.
Requirements:To excel in this role, you must possess a combination of technical expertise, collaborative spirit, and a passion for scientific discovery. Only candidates who meet the following criteria will be considered:
Masters Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field with 8+ years of professional experience
Expertise in bioinformatics tools and programming languages such as Python, R, and Unix/Linux.
Exceptional ability to analyze and interpret complex biological data, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated leadership in leading research projects and guiding multidisciplinary teams to success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Demonstrates an approach that prioritizes collaboration and cultivates an inclusive and encouraging research environment through dedication and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field with a proven track record of impactful research
Demonstrated ability in bioinformatics research, with a track record in peer-reviewed journal publications.
Familiarity with cloud computing and big data technologies is highly desirable.
