We look forward to meeting you.Mission Technologies, a division of HII is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer, Associate to join our growing team at our Hanover, MD location.This position will support a mission management tool called the Minotaur Mission Processor. Minotaur ingests data from various sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft to enhance an operator’s ability to identify tracks from various on-board sensors, from both sea and land, that is utilized in all branches of the military. To read more about the Minotaur Mission Processor visit:Responsibilities would include testing prototype solutions to unaddressed, critical military operational shortfalls through research, conceptualization, design, implementation, and evaluation as a member of an established team that has fielded numerous highly regarded capabilities. Subject areas differ widely over time, but current projects focus on improving the exploitation of airborne sensor data through object tracking, multi-sensor correlation, and operational data display.Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software systems quality operating methods, processes, and procedures. Conducts evaluation of software systems activities including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification and validation. Defines appropriate measures to ensure product quality. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts. Reviews software systems design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Provides or directs verification and validation of software system requirements, traceability, and testability.Job responsibilities can include:Devise and apply testing procedures for both HII’s Minotaur product and from outside vendors.Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios.Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.Test creation, development, execution, and closure.Analyze test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.Perform moderately complex analysis and troubleshooting.Design of both manual and automated test procedures.Prepare reports on all aspects related to software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.Support system integration events on various aircraft during ground/flight tests.Potential to fly on aircraft to support system integration, test, and operator trainingWilling to travel between 10-20% of the time.Application of the principles, practices, and procedures used in test engineering.Minimum Qualifications

0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.0-2 years experience software testing/development in a Linux command line environmentStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a close team environmentMust be able to obtain and maintain a US level Secret clearancePreferred Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Software, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline0 - 2 years experience in:

leading test and test automation teamsnetwork communication protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, etc.)scripting in Python, Bash, CSH, etc.Agile software development methodology
