Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. From towers to processors, we design, develop, integrate and manage the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations.The Principal Software Engineer will support a mission management tool called the Minotaur Mission Processor, which ingests data from various sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft to enhance an operator’s ability to identify tracks from various on-board sensors.Responsibilities
Lead the development of prototype solutions to military operational shortfalls through research, conceptualization, design, implementation, and evaluation.Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems.Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers.Mentor a team of engineers to design, integrate, test, and sustain a fully functional implementation of Minotaur into a customer designated platform.Research and concept development for solutions to military operational shortfalls.Support prototype evaluation, experimental operations, and transitions of capabilities to government.Develop software interfaces to control and collect data from sensors.Design and implement graphical user interfaces to meet customers’ demands.Minimum Qualifications
15 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in related field; 13 years with a Master's; 10 years with a PhD or JD; or High School Diploma with 19 years relevant experience.Must have an active US Secret level clearance or higher.Must be willing to work in the Hanover, MD office.Preferred Requirements
Extensive knowledge of the Minotaur Mission System or related predecessor projects.Physical Requirements
