Primarily responsible for maintenance and support of our Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) with a secondary focus on our Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). This role is responsible for the maintenance and overall health of the platforms while providing support for user onboarding, troubleshooting, and capacity planning/management.LOCATION
Hybrid work from either of the below office locations is required with flexibility to have Mondays and Fridays remote:Preferred Location: Jacksonville, FLSecondary Location: Atlanta, GARelocation assistance available.RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist users with onboarding, writing, and executing code in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).Build, maintain and scale Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), its underlying infrastructure, and associated containers.Deploy and maintain tools for observability and application deployments to OCP (Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, ADO, ArgoCD, etc.).Provide support and maintenance of our on-premise Red Hat OpenShift Container Platforms (OCP).Assist with the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and mentor teams to assist with improving processes.Assist with defining and enforcing best practices for building and deploying applications to OCP.Diagnose, isolate, and debug application problems and perform problem resolution.Take part in capacity planning and performance monitoring of the platforms.Provide platform support via a rotating on-call schedule.Research and vet emerging technologies to assist with automation and process improvement.Perform other duties as required.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.Requires 3 - 6+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, and/or software development.Experience maintaining Ansible Automation Platform 2.4 or higher.Experience writing Ansible playbooks, roles, and/or collections.Proficiency in Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc.Experience supporting CI/CD processes utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, etc.Experience with scripting and development languages such as Python, Bash, Go, etc.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Highly prefer 5+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, and/or software development.Experience managing Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) container clusters on premise.Experience configuring related monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.Experience with Git-based source code management tools (Bitbucket, GitLab, etc.).Experience with Jinja templating in Ansible.Relevant certifications such as a Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, RHCE, or other Red Hat Ansible certifications.Ability to automate routine tasks, debug and optimize code highly preferred.Experience in cloud computing, storage, and hosting functionality.Experience managing and writing configuration management code for large numbers of systems.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.Experience with Kafka messaging.Experience with automated testing.Familiarity with Agile best practices.Experience in networking and understanding of network protocols, DNS, VPN, and Load Balancing.Experience with monitoring, alerting and incident response tools and performing root cause analysis.A motivated self-starter with excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.ICE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, specialty, experience, and work location.
