Become a part of a dedicated projects team to provide high-quality design services and leadership while supporting a company culture of Safety, Innovation, and Customer Focus.This position requires the successful candidate to take ownership and drive success of the design and construction elements of projects, with the support of the existing discipline design teams. This role is not expected to support the ID1 expansion at this time, although some coordination will occur.Responsibilities include:Working directly with the Principal Architect and all engineering fields and drafting resources to assure detailed Architectural design and specifications are provided for Facilities projects and work orders assigned.For internally crafted projects, provide support for fire and life safety code compliance.Supervise and maintain Site Wide Safety Plans and Code Sheet.Provide architectural oversight in the form of responsibility for completion of the Architectural Checklist for the Facilities Issued Equipment/Tool Installations and associated construction activities.Support and participate in the Facilities Code and Standards Committee activities and responsibilities.Assist with site/civil issues falling into the responsibilities of the Facilities Site Committee, such as but not limited to proposed changes to building exteriors, site utility, signage, traffic and landscape modifications and temporary construction staging and all related Work Orders associated with these tasks.Support and participate in the ongoing development of architectural-related SUDs (Standard Utility Details). Develop new and maintain existing department Architectural Details.Collaborate with local jurisdictions and Micron subject area representatives on building code compliance.Keep ownership and maintenance of Engineering and Construction library and associated procedure.Define and designate site building construction types, area occupancy classifications and all Life Safety code compliance status.Architectural design and construction oversight of major construction projects.Ensure compliance with required codes and standards.Ensure designs are safe.Ensure designs are cost effective.Review of Design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.Review of engineering calculations and supporting documentation to ensure design quality and code compliance.Review of NavisWorks 3D models relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, alignment with other engineering subject areas.Review and approval of submittals.Review and validation of construction RFI responses.Review and approval of shop drawings and construction models.Inspect construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.Ensuring compliance with Micron standards, Micron specifications, codes, laws, regulations, industry standards, and best known methods.Develop and validate cost estimates and construction schedules for architectural portions of projects.Develop criteria and performance specifications required to meet outstanding operating requirements for new projects.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Architecture or higher.Strong analytical and good decision making skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.Phenomenal at collaborating with internal and external teams.Ability to tackle problems across multi-functional and multi-cultural groups within and outside of Facilities.Ability to multi-task and lead team to meet complicated deadlines and goals.Dedicated to continuous improvement.Outstanding customer focus.Good written and verbal English interpersonal skills.As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
