Job descriptionABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:The Senior Software & Systems Engineer’s primary responsibility is to apply their design expertise to the design, integration, and testing of communications equipment components. This role will have exposure to the full development lifecycle, including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance.PRIMARY DUTIES:Collaborate across engineering functions to design, test, and deliver new product capabilities.Interface with software developers and testers to support testing and maintenance.Lead the software engineering process (unit testing, code reviews, documentation delivery) and support the test and integration process.Support internal and external product demonstrations.Manage and review creation of technical documentation.SKILLS REQUIRED:
Demonstrated background in one or more programming languages and/or systems integration.Experience working with integrated product teams that may be geographically separated.Experience working with commercial development tools and processes (e.g., JIRA/Bitbucket, Agile development such as SAFe, SCRUM, Kanban).Networking experience is preferred.Experience with managing security vulnerabilities is preferred.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred.5+ years’ experience in system integration or computer science disciplines, preferably related to telecommunication and satellite communication systems.NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:
