English: Business Level, Japanese: Business LevelIT company seeks an IT Helpdesk Engineer. This position assesses and troubleshoots computer support problems and resolves users’ problems. We are looking for self-motivated, team-oriented, and highly organized individuals. A work location will be onsite at a client’s site in Houston, Texas, for at least three days.In response to our client’s request, this position does not have an established work schedule. You will be required to work a flexible schedule based on the client’s needs. Please understand that the position will require flexibility on your part.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 10/11), Microsoft Office, E-mail (Outlook), VPN, MS365/O365, network printer, LAN/Wi-Fi/AP support, basic knowledge of cloud/Azure environment.Support users using the Helpdesk ticket system, such as Zendesk, and follow up with users.Maintaining and creating technical documents, such as user manuals and procedures.Software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting for users.Hardware (PC, Printer, etc.) setup, installations, and configurations for users.Communicating with vendors and manufacturers for new orders, product replacement, and technical support.Ability/skills to support users remotely.Planning and conducting user training at the client’s site.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent skills in Microsoft OS and Office products.Good PC knowledge and skills.Basic Network and cloud knowledge.Excellent communication skills. Japanese skills are a must. English required at the business level.Excellent customer service skills.Strong team orientation skills and reporting skills.Security awareness: Basic security knowledge and a conscious approach to handling user information are required.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in MIS or CIS.1-2 years of experience as an IT Helpdesk Engineer or a similar position.SUPPLEMENTARY QUALIFICATIONS:
Working experience in a Japanese company is a plus.Any Microsoft Certification is a plus.Any involvement in IT projects is a plus.
