As a Project Architect and Project Manager, you will take a leadership role in the development and execution of a variety of high-profile preservation projects that incorporate innovative design solutions to balance the complex challenges of historic structures with contemporary expectations for use and comfort.IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:Lead specific preservation, sustainability, and adaptive reuse expertise on projects, which will include the following primary responsibilities:As a Project Architect/Project Manager, you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of project types located mainly in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest with your participation and leadership in architecture and some project management.You will have a leadership role in a team of creative professionals to develop creative and technical design solutions for projects ranging from preservation to new construction.You will communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to extract and synthesize input, and ultimately be responsible for the quality execution of projects that are on schedule and within budget.You will collaborate with a team of creative professionals to prepare and manage design documents, contract documents, budgets, schedules, and follow through with construction oversight.As a Project Architect/Project Manager, you will stay updated with the latest advancements in architectural design in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) services sector.ADDITIONALLY, YOU WILL ALSO PERFORM:Archival Research and writing for historic structures reports, conservation plans, condition assessments, and preservation master plans documents.Create measured drawings of existing conditions for base architectural plans.Assist with corporate marketing efforts and proposal responses.MUST-HAVES TO APPLY:Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related fieldArchitectural licensure is preferred but not requiredExperience in project processes from design through construction15+ years of related experience ( Project Manager Position )8–14 years of related experience ( Project Architect Position )3–8 years of related experience ( Associate Architect Position )1–3 years of related experience ( Technical Architectural Designer Position )ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractorsA passion for humane and sustainable designMeticulous attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work on concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising qualityProficient in AutoCAD and/or REVIT, and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong technical expertise related to design and constructionKnowledge of preservation techniques and policiesKnowledge of historic construction techniques and stylesKnowledge of material repair and restoration techniquesCreative teaching and mentoring abilities and experienceSALARYCommensurate with experienceAbout ICAFounded in 2000,
