Our systems and applications are exceedingly available and exceptionally performing. We are into the business, which touches everyone's pocket if a card is being used for transactions. Those transactions happen within a fraction of seconds. In addition, thousands of transactions occur concurrently within a second. Our service is not limited to one junction; we are in more than 200 countries.Security is our primary concern. We develop an environment that is reliable for transactions happening at more than a trillion in value. Millions of cyberattacks are always challenging and give us more confidence to make our environment more assured. Availability ensures security. Our environments are available round the clock. As technology changes day by day, we believe in continuous enhancement of ourselves and like to deep dive into present-day knowledge.Essential Functions
The prime responsibility of Sr. Site Reliability Engineering is to ensure that the environment is secure and safe. All security findings should be remediated within the required resolution date defined by governance.We do not allow outages, even for a second. If any issue happens, as owners of the environment, we do what is necessary to ensure those environments are up and running. Root cause analysis should be completed within hours. We ensure that findings are remediated in the production environment after all tests and checks in lower environments.As owners of the environment, we keep track of all activities planned or happening in our environments. We are responsible for deploying new code in the environment.We regularly analyze our environment. If there is a manual task, we automate it. We are increasing self-heal capabilities and will continue to do so until environments become auto-heal.If a new service is coming under our support or if migration of an old environment is going to happen to new technologies, we start interaction with product developers to sketch out planning for production.As our business runs around the clock, we work in shifts and synchronize with multiple locations and multiple tracks.We ensure that every activity is recorded as per the incident or change management process. Technical and related runbooks need to be prepared and shared with the team.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
