This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program. Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical and non-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation.

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Software Engineer to join the Calibre LVS R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for software development and interest in Electronic Design Automation (EDA). You’ll work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the design and development of key features that drive semiconductor innovation.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain features for Calibre LVS, focusing on performance and usability.

Work on multi-threaded algorithms to optimize processing speed and resource utilization.

Collaborate with experienced engineers to design scalable solutions for high-performance computing (HPC) platforms.

Assist in identifying and resolving software performance bottlenecks.

Participate in cross-functional discussions to define requirements for new features and improvements.

Grow your skills by learning from mentors and contributing to complex problem-solving.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Strong understanding of C++ and experience with Linux-based development environments.

Knowledge of multi-threaded programming or a strong willingness to learn.

Familiarity with graph algorithms and their applications in software development.

Interest in Physical Verification and EDA technologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Eagerness to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and grow your technical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) or parallel programming (academic or project-based).

Exposure to EDA tools or coursework in semiconductor design.

The hourly range for this position is $51.92 to $61.54 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
