This person must reside in Sacramento, San Bernadino or San Joaquin Valley, CA. The Government Funding team works to secure funding to ensure that all children have the opportunity to access high quality education and develop a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning. By creating premier services and influencing the industry through advocacy, we work to improve the family experience and increase accessibility to our centers. The Sr. Government Funding Program Administrator is responsible for program grant administration and grant related field coordination. This role serves as the point of contact for assigned program grants throughout the year to ensure funder requirements are met, spending is on target and troubleshooting of any grant issues that arise in the centers. The Government Programs Administrator provides clear communication of regulations, requirements, and objectives across all departments for successful program grant implementation of current and expanding participating centers. This person will work cross-functionally with many teams across the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

Align to company and government funding strategy, goals and objectives; effectively adapts to change

Proactively plan and execute assignments to support the life cycle of assigned grants

Prepare financial or budget plans and allocation along with the finance department in accordance with each grant requirement

Monitor budgets and financial reporting to ensure spending of grant funds are on target

Maintain grant tracking, reporting documents, and databases for assigned grants

Provide support to Grant Manager with completing and submitting Grant RFP or contract, ensure copies of all grant contracts are retained at the National Support Center

Create center or contract specific tools and resources to support grant compliances, as needed

Facilitate new program/project set-up to ensure grant requirements are met

Facilitate and/or participate in meetings and trainings to field operations, team, peers, and government agencies on government funding processes

Assist with grant reporting requirements, and state/locals specific identified systems and tools

Build effective relationships with internal and external partners, including field operations and government agencies

Ensure all government funding program personnel requirements are met

Demonstrate a strong command over written and verbal communication

Address escalated grant concerns as the first point of contact

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Strong computer skills covering general office software, including MS Office; with strong Excel skills

Skilled in customer service and professionalism

Conflict resolution and collaboration skills

Professional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to foster open dialogue

Effective organizational and time management skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently

Ability to drive and adapt to change

Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner by prioritizing work in a multi-task environment

Ability to travel between alternate center and office locations (25-35%) depending on needs of centers

Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to local centers

Overnight travel is occasionally required
