The Plant Project Engineer II at Southwire is an integral part of our manufacturing operations, responsible for implementing, leading, and managing complex engineering projects. The ideal candidate is a continual learner and collaborator with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and is highly skilled at problem-solving.Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Budget Oversight (25%):
Lead end-to-end project cycles, ensuring timely delivery within set budgets, accompanied by clear planning, scheduling, and optimal resource allocation.Engineering Expertise & Compliance (20%):
Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and modifications to existing machinery, ensuring adherence to established standards and regulations.Process Improvement & Efficiency (20%):
Employ Lean principles to identify and rectify operational bottlenecks, spearheading initiatives for continuous improvement, enhanced safety, and product quality.Cross-functional Collaboration & Support (20%):
Collaborate with multiple departments, offering technical guidance and fostering a harmonized operational environment.Industry Awareness & Integration (15%):
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, integrating this knowledge into ongoing and future projects.Education, Experience, and Skills
