PayQuicker LLC is a leader in the global payments industry, and we are seeking an innovative and dynamic Senior DevOps Engineer. The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining systems which may include software updates and core services. The Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate with software development and testing teams to ensure seamless deployment of software and build a fast and stable infrastructure. The Senior DevOps Engineer will help shape the future of the Verse product by leading the iteration and improvement of the existing applications with an API first approach to producing high-quality code.Location:

Rochester, NYWhat you do at PayQuicker:

Automate cloud native technologies, deploy applications, and provision critical infrastructure.Work with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.Work within the AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure cloud ecosystems to configure and deploy optimized infrastructure.Ensure monitoring and health of the resources deployed.Document procedures used during deployment cycles.Experience with operational monitoring tools, such as Datadog, CloudWatch.Work with the team and play a small mentoring role, assist in troubleshooting tasks.Implement clean and maintainable infrastructure-as-code that adheres to industry best practices.Strengthen our application and environment security by applying standards and best practices and providing tooling to make development workflows more secure.Increase the sophistication of our alerting and escalation mechanisms.Why you are a fit for PayQuicker:

Minimum 5 years of industry experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or related field required.Experience with CI/CD pipeline orchestration including spinning up/down environments for automated regression testing and containerization required.Extensive experience working within AWS and Azure and with their managed products required.Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog, Splunk required.Strong experience working with automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) required.Experience working within large-scale decoupled, microservices systems a plus.Strong experience with containers (Docker, Compose, EKS, Kubernetes).Strong knowledge of software engineering design patterns and best practices in modern production system.Knowledge of network administration and cybersecurity best practices.Recognition of the importance of automation on scalability and reliability.Possess a willingness and ability to work hands-on and with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Strategic agility, strong critical and logical thinking with ability to analyze problems.Team player who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, solution-focused and takes ownership of their work.Manage time well and routinely prioritize tasks by their intended impact.Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.Job Type:
