Universal Fan & Blower (a Division of Industrial Plastics Fabricators Ltd)Who we are:Universal Fan is a leading manufacturer of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Fans and air movement equipment, specializing in corrosive chemical applications & pollution control equipment.Now seeking to hire a Project EngineerJob Description:The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading all Customer Projects, as well as the development of composite fan products from prototyping to production. The ideal candidate will be a designer bringing innovative concepts to the Operations and Manufacturing partners.This role requires the ability to work in a team environment to conceive and develop concepts and product production. The successful applicant will work with in-house fabricators and outside suppliers, engineering and testing resources to efficiently manage resources and prove out concepts within a schedule and budget.Roles and Responsibilities:Design laminate sequenced for high performance products in compliance with stated performance regulations.Coordinate prototyping and product testing of in-house and supplier manufacturing teams.Design systems and components that involve fabrication with metal, plastic, mechanical components, and fiberglass/composites materials.Lead the planning and estimating activities for each project's costs and timelines.Select appropriate purchased components to maximize quality and profitability.Perform all necessary engineering calculations and assessments to ensure the systems we build are the right fit for our customers.Produce drawings and bills of materials using CAD tools (Solidworks).Analyze designs and systems for compliance with our customers' local standards.Develop plans to verify that the equipment we manufacture meets all relevant specifications, including safety standards.Liaise with customers for technical information and specifications.Liaise with vendors for technical information and specifications.Assist operations during the manufacturing phase of the equipment in the resolution of problems to prevent missing project deadlines.Assist the field service technicians to troubleshoot problems as required.Prepare documentation and manuals.Support customers as required.Act as a technical resource on all projects.Other duties as required.Requirements:University or College degree in an Engineering related field.Nice to Haves:Prior experience in designing FRP Fan systems and components with Plastics and Fiberglass/Composites for use in Industries with Corrosive applications.5-10 years work experience.Compensation:$60,000 – $80,000+ Depending on Experience.After 3 months of employment, you are eligible to join the company subsidized Health and Dental benefits plan.Factory Standard Work Hours:Mon – Thurs 6:30am to 4:00pm.Fri 6:30am to 10:30am.How to apply:
