Architecture CPU Performance Exploration Architect

CPU Performance Exploration Architect will play a key role in defining and developing next-generation CPU architectures. This position requires a deep understanding of CPU architecture, CPU design flow (RTL, Design Verification, Physical Design Flow), and SoC design, with an emphasis on exploring innovative approaches to enhance performance, scalability, and power efficiency. The ideal candidate will drive the specification, design, and validation of cutting-edge CPU architectures, leading exploration efforts to meet future computing demands.
This role is remote, based out of the United States.

Responsibilities:
Next-Gen CPU Specification: Define and develop specifications for next-generation CPU architecture, focusing on performance (both classical CPU workloads and emerging AI workloads), power efficiency, and scalability.
SoC Architecture Development: Architect complex SoC designs that integrate CPU compute chiplets, ensuring seamless communication, data coherence, and power management across the chip.
Performance Modeling and Analysis: Utilize simulation tools and performance models to predict the behavior of proposed architectures and identify potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Work closely with teams across hardware, software, and design automation to ensure that CPU architecture meets the requirements of various applications and workloads.
Power and Thermal Management: Optimize power consumption and thermal performance of CPU chiplets within SoCs, ensuring that designs meet the stringent power and thermal constraints of modern computing environments.
Contribute to the development of long-term technology roadmaps, focusing on CPU chiplet integration, SoC scalability, and next-gen computing trends.
Prepare detailed design specifications, architectural documentation, and technical reports to communicate design decisions and strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
Stay at the forefront of industry trends and research in CPU design, contributing to the innovation of new technologies and methodologies that drive future products.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven track record of designing CPU architectures & CPU design (RTL, Design Verification, Physical Design Flow).
Deep understanding of CPU microarchitecture, pipeline design, cache architecture, and memory subsystems.
Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs) such as Verilog or VHDL.
Experience with performance modeling, simulation tools, and benchmarking methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and across multiple disciplines.
