Job Title: Project Engineer - Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant ConstructionCompany: State Utility Contractors, Inc.Job Type: Full-time, PermanentState Utility Contractors, a leading environmental service facilities builder in the Carolinas, is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our Treatment Plant Division at our corporate office in Monroe. If you are passionate about construction, possess expertise in water and wastewater treatment plant construction, and are looking for a chance to excel, we invite you to apply.Responsibilities:Prepare comprehensive engineer submissions, including accurate and detailed field installation and submission drawings, using AutoCAD, BIM, and Bluebeam software.Review and evaluate submittal documents, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, standards, and regulations.Order and manage materials, specifically DI, PVC, and SSTL piping, required for water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure effective project coordination and timely completion.Utilize field surveying equipment when necessary to support project activities.Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in construction management and engineering techniques.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology is preferred.3 to 5 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment plant construction.Proficiency in using AutoCAD, BIM, and Bluebeam software for preparing field installation and submission drawings.Familiarity with ordering and managing DI, PVC, and SSTL piping.Strong attention to detail and ability to review and analyze submittal documents effectively.Experience with field surveying equipment is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines.At State Utility Contractors, our motto is “Quality in Action” and we believe in offering a rewarding work environment where your contributions will be valued.
