We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with a strong focus on IT General Controls (ITGC) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of IT General Controls (ITGCs), ensuring system integrity and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate across business and IT teams to evaluate, develop, and implement control frameworks that safeguard system processes and data quality. This role involves managing multiple assignments, handling complex issues, leading cross-functional teams, and driving process improvements.

Core Responsibilities:

ITGC Management:

Design, implement, and monitor IT General Controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data. Ensure controls meet compliance standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR).

Risk Assessment:

Identify and evaluate risks in existing systems and processes. Recommend and implement mitigating controls for identified risks.

System and Process Review:

Assess business processes and automated systems for control effectiveness and process efficiencies. Recommend improvements to strengthen control environments.

Audit Support:

Serve as a liaison between IT and auditors during compliance audits. Coordinate evidence collection and documentation for audit requests.

Testing and Validation:

Develop and execute testing plans to validate ITGC effectiveness, including access management, change management, and data backup controls.

Issue Resolution:

Diagnose and resolve issues related to ITGC failures or deficiencies. Implement corrective actions and document changes.

Policy and Procedure Documentation:

Create and maintain ITGC policies, procedures, and user manuals. Ensure documentation reflects current processes and control requirements.

User Training:

Develop training materials and conduct training sessions on ITGC-related topics for system users.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze data to monitor control performance. Develop reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance tracking.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

At least 4 years of experience in business systems analysis, with a focus on ITGC.

Strong understanding of IT General Controls, including access management, change management, and data integrity.

Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOX, GDPR, or HIPAA.

Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational database management.

Ability to document technical processes and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving control-related issues.

Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in relevant fields (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP).

Experience supporting compliance audits and working with external auditors.

Knowledge of GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools.

Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
