Software Engineer – Developer in Hazelwood, Missouri
for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations. This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future.The successful candidate for the role of Software Engineer - Developer will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program, while adhering to strict government regulations. You will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing maintaining, enhancing and optimizing software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Additionally, you will debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.Position Responsibilities:Handles user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues and user feedback analysisImplement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software developmentExecute and document software research and development projectsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Hazelwood Boeing facility.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.We will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):VB.NET or C#.NETSQL or other relational databaseUnit testing frameworks like xUnit, jUnit, or nUnitPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):C++Windows Environment (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)Project Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)Azure DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD toolsAgileStrong mathematical analysis skills or STEM degreeTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
