Job Summary:

We are seeking a proficient Power BI Developer with expertise in data analysis, data query, data aggregation, data visualization, and software development. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, data management, and big data technologies. This role involves developing business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing solutions, writing complex SQL scripts and stored procedures, and working across multiple phases of the development life cycle. The Power BI Developer will design, build, and optimize ETL mappings, develop BI reports, and ensure data is transformed and loaded efficiently based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize Power BI to develop data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to support business intelligence initiatives.

Design and develop ETL processes to extract data from source systems, transform data based on business requirements, and load it into target systems.

Write complex SQL statements, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views to implement business intelligence and data warehousing solutions.

Apply data warehousing concepts to recommend solutions and drive best practices for BI and reporting platforms.

Conduct performance tuning of ETL mappings to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Develop BI reports using BI software and perform unit testing to validate the accuracy and functionality of the reports.

Work across multiple phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Create and maintain documentation in support of the development life cycle, including technical specifications and user guides.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Proficiency in Power BI, data analysis, data aggregation, and data visualization.

Strong experience with ETL processes and tools, as well as big data technologies.

Expertise in writing complex SQL statements, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI best practices, with the ability to recommend and implement solutions.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with multiple business intelligence environments (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).

Experience with data management and performance tuning of ETL processes.

Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
