Position Summary:UNM Information Technologies is looking for a Programmer Analyst 1.Under supervision, the Programmer Analyst will design, develop, and implement websites, web applications, and software/system integrations. In addition, they will also work closely with senior architects to build and foster a DevSecOps-enabled ecosystem including code versioning, continuous integration and delivery, automated testing, and container and orchestration.The successful applicant will have good communication skills, expertise in system and/or data integration, website and web application development, and a clear sense of customer service. A thorough understanding of the values, practices and procedures found in a higher education environment, and a commitment to mentoring and developing technical staff is also desirable.This is a benefits eligible position. See the Prospective Employee page for a more complete explanation of UNM benefits.Specialty licensure/certification may be required, as specified by the department.Successful candidate may be subject to a criminal background check prior to starting work.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with system and data integration/architecture including consumption, design and development of application APIs (REST and SOAP).Knowledge and/or experience with low-code development platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.Knowledge and/or experience with cloud service platforms (Azure, AWS).Experience with DevSecOps including its principles, code versioning, continuous integration, and continuous deployment/delivery.Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including application design, configuration, customization, integration, testing and support including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, the development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post implementation support.Ability to obtain results and add value to the organization by being accessible to and supportive of others, setting clear goals and monitoring goals’ progress, and making timely and sound decisions and influencing others.Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills (able to communicate ideas with senior personnel, able to create and deliver persuasive web architectures and models, able to gain consensus, etc.).Application Instructions:Only applications submitted through the official UNMJobs site will be accepted.
