The primary responsibilities for this position will include the recording, editing, and sound reinforcement needs of performances in the School of Music venues; the provision of general technology support to faculty, staff, and students in the School of Music to facilitate delivery of instruction in classroom and virtual spaces; and serve as the webmaster for the School of Music. Bachelor’s degree in music technology, education technology, computing, digital video/audio production, music or related field and two years of computer or audio support experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience with sound recording and/or amplification. Experience with current software and hardware technologies. Ability to train others in the use of such technology systems. Knowledge of web site development and maintenance as well as web casting and web streaming. Ability to communicate and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students. Ability to supervise/mentor students.Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in music technology, education technology, computing, digital video/audio production or related field; equivalence considered. Three years’ experience with current digital arts/multimedia technology. Experience working in a university environment.Pre-Placement Driving Record Review Required
